used caps are a bad idea....its worse than buying a used battery, just to save you money in the future, i would advise against it.

here it is in brief: they put more strain on your electrical system b/c they are just another thing for your alternator to power....

suppously cause they put more strain on your alternator.., which is the problem in the 1st place..your alt. not being able to supply your battery w/ enough power when the bass hits.

is it proven that caps dont help? cause i say they do? my system wouldnt even play most of the time, when i only had my stock alt and battery... drop voltage to bad.. i put a cap on it and it helped out, my system still cut out, but nowhere near as bad as it did w/out the cap.. now i have upgraded alt. and ran a 2nd battery.. no cap..and now it doesnt cut out at all...

b4 u buy a cap, i recommend you just upgrade your alt or get it rewound.. it will help out the most..
