tried doing a wall of 4 18" tc 5200's, to fit all the woofers on the faceplate was impossible. 1" off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

so now i'm thinking of doing a clamshell wall. i know i can build one but i just cant design one. want to play from 25hz-35hz very strongly and for it to sound good. no metering here

max dimensions are around 44"wide, 34" tall and 28" deep.

anyone that can help at all is appreciated

that depth is goin to kill you on a clamshell bro... check out my build... and look at how much depth i had to put for my 4 aq 18's... i ended up with almost 4 ft of depth

also, even with the best design, you're going to have to make lil changes here and there on the fly... but i can whip something up for you tomorrow, if you want

couldnt there be a clamshell like with 2 on the top pointing somewhat towards the bottom of the vehicle and 2 on the bottom facing up? kind of like this one

you mean like this??

the one i'm currently building... and like i said, your depth is going to kill you... not willing to get rid of the back seats?

gotta be able to carry 4 people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but yes exactly like that. and if i drop the height to like 28-30 i can probably get like 34" of depth.

and these 5200's only need like 4 cubic feet each in a ported box, not sure what that means for a clamshell though. dont even really understand them fully lol

well, with a clamshell, you normally will have them angled at 45 degrees... but you gotta remember that this will take away half of your available air space, and if you angle them anything less than around 30 degrees, you end up getting into the 4th order world.... which can be a tuning nightmare

if you could pull it off i'd paypal you like 20$ lol. i really want to do this but dont want to end up building something i cant fit in my car. i can do a wall with 3 18's but i think 4 would bay way cooler and get much lower and louder

pm me all the info you have (sub parameters, dimensions, tuning your looking for, etc..) and i'll work on it a lil tomorrow, and try to get it done in a day or two (still working on my own build too, lol)

pm'd and dont worry i understand, would like to have them by the weekend though if possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I learn something new everyday.
