Don't try to defend new orleans. I don't care how much culture or history is there. It's in a shitty spot and everyone outside of the state of louisiana knows it. People are just to "proud" and ignorant to move.

Do you really think that if new orleans is completely destroyed that we as a country would completely fall apart? New Orleans thinks it's more important than it really is. Not trying to pick a fight with you,but do you know all the salt you guys use on your roads up there comes from down here.How long would you yankees last if we stopped sending natural gas to you guys in the winter? I went to bootcamp at great lakes and know how cold it gets up there.

You need New Orleans more than you could even think in the big picture.

How would you feel if they said F*ck your city beacause it had a bad winter 2 years in the last three ?

I pray for all of you. I went down with one of my ex girlfriends dad to help clean up for a month or so. It was a crazy site to see... and i didnt want to go back.

I know bout all this, my womans from New Iberia. I know the Tabasco is produced there on Avery Island, and the sugar and salt mines. I learned that when I visited. So, now that i think about it. Yeah, we need some of that.

No winter in the history of chicago caused billions of dollars of damages and made the city nearly unrepairable. Sure we've had some killer storms in the past, but nothing like the damage that happened to new orleans. The city may shut down for a few days, but at least it's still there.

What happened to new orleans does **** for sure, but you have to be a little ignorant to think that it can't happen again and possibly on a worse scale. The city is in a terrible location. You can't argue that, it's a proven fact.

We as a country could move on. Like I said, if something completely devastating did happen to new orleans, people would just have to rebuild on a GOOD part of land that won't be prone to flooding as bad as new orleans is.
