Anyone ever used Peal and Seal?

I would be careful applying it to any surface that is not horizontal to the ground. Peel & Seal was designed for non-sloping applications. The roof, doors, hatch, etc.. are all areas where the product may fall off after a few years, regardless of how well you applied it.

You are better off applying it to the floor or other ground areas.

It stopped smelling after the first week and as long as you use a heat gun, it won't fall off your trunk lid.
Lack of observable smell does not indicate toxic vapors are not present.

In any event... I used to use it all the time and now I don't. Good reason for that.

Wait a few years, it'll start falling off. Deadening is not something I like to re-do, especially not if the material melting off can quite possibly stain your interior.

Ok, how about a little reverse psychology? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Yea, yea buy peal n seal! It's awesome! It will kill vibration on a budget, easily. All deadener is basically the same, so why not go for the cheap stuff? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I bet there are at least 100 threads on this forum that about "deadening." And if you read every one of them you will see anecdote after anecdote, plenty of pure nonsense and really bad information and advice about the why/how/when/where's of deadening.

What you don't see a lot is honest scientific information about the proper materials, how they work, and which ones to choose for the task at hand. An honest review of the literature on the subject of free layer damping, constrained layer damping, hysteretic damping, etc...will yield ZERO references on peal n seal. Go ahead and search.

But to answer the original question; yes I have used peal and seal. I peeled the paper backing off it and used it to seal.

everytime i see foxpro I think "i want some vertex barrier pad" then i check my wallet and I dont' want it anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
*shameless plug*

I'm blowing my inventory out....~40-50% off the prices you see. Once it's gone, it's gone!

It's worked great for 3 ½ years and counting...

idk, I guess I'm really lucky or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
