anyone ever scope a 1501d?

it has a compression circuit to prevent clipping. why isn't that just wired in?

also i found this:

I've got a MTX 1501D wired at 2ohms. so on my multimeter i should be reading 44.72v (2ohms x 1000W@2ohm=2000 ----> sqrt 2000 = 44.72)
what does that mean and how did they come up with that? sorry, but i'm getting a dmm today and i want this right and i know you guys can help. thanks again.

so 1500x2 which is 3000, then do the square root of that which is 54.77 volts. play a 50 hz tone at either 0db or -3db and set the gain knob till it reads 54 volts AC.

mtx's are usually a little underrated but they rate them at 14.4v though. so i would just base your gain setting off of rated power if you want to be 100% safe.

JP at MTX support is an awesome guy to deal with. I kept asking, and he just kept givin me what i need. We set it at 46.6v for 1100w. thanks for the help tcguy85
