First of all the store I was parked in front of was an Audio Express. (a car audio store and the only store around in the area I might add) I was in my sister's car fixing her shi* and fine tuning it as she went in to buy new ring terminal's for her battery. So I know when and where to be bumpi'n shi*. The last thing I need is to be bumping in a public shopping center pissin off people and advertising her system. I might as well put a sign on her car that say's steal me. So enough with the stupid comment's. I came here for looking for answers to my question not stupid replies. You can't destroy bass knob, as it's only 20k potentiometer, which is static electricity-proof //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You may have destroyed a part of a circuitry, knob is connected to. If amp is still working and reacts to bass knob adjustment, but sounds slightly different, it will be hard as hell to fix it.

I would use a dmm and check the subs impedance, maybe one of your vc are going out and cranking on the bass knob helped it on its way.
