And for passports, do i just go to my post office? And what do i need, just the card? Or do i need the book too?

Anyone here ever travel there? Or to Pripyat?
If so, i'd be really interested in hearing what tour outfit you went with and if you were allowed into the buildings.

And before any of you cry about radiation, it's safe.

It has elevated radiation levels, but nothing thats really harmful for people for short periods of time. If you stayed for a few years, then yes, it could be harmful. There are actually people who live there for about 6 months at a time.
