Imo, no new artist really sticks out to me, I haven't heard a song I REALLY liked in a while.

For a while I liked M.F. Doom, Madvillian, and some other underground stuff. Then I started really like Wayne around Carter III, most recently I've liked alot of Travis Porters stuff, despite his extremely mainstream sytle, I just like the beats and lyrics, I guess I'm more into the 'party music' thing right now, but like I said, to me, no one is really prominent in my mind.

oh, and I like some of Wiz's older stuff, Burn After Rolling, ect.

kcudi is good, I don't really like chamillionare. In my opinion, the beat is half the song, and I don't like Cham or KCudi's beats are all that great. I've always liked Bangladesh's beats, mostly because he uses clean bass notes, unlike Lex Luger who uses those beats that sound like a 50hz fart.

Like, one of my favorite songs ever is Money to Blow by Birdman, everything in that song is mint. Pass the Dutch by Young Money is another one of my favorites, also Break Up by Mario is a great song. So, yeah, beats is more like 80% of the song to me, shallow as that might make me look.

I am digging the Lasers album. When it comes to str8 lyrical ability I could only think of a few that are on par with Lupe atm

YM's mainstream *****, but I love their mixtapes. No Ceilings and Well Done are some of my favorites...
