Anyone done a dual alternator setup is 2nd gen Explorer?

Thinking I want to run another HO alt with a voltage regulator just for the system so i can get some 16v goodness.

I called around and no one (that I can find) sells a mounting bracket to replace the a/c.

Has anyone done this? And to people who fabbed on yourself what is involved in the process ( I have a buddy who can weld )

You shouldn't have too bad of a time making your own adapter bracket. We have universal 16V alternators if you need one. (more compact for making your own brackets, simple one wire hookup)
