Anyone caught using Demonoid, oink, or any other torrents?

Has anyone on here, or anyone know of anybody that has been caught using torrents (demonoid, oink, pirate bay)?

I've been using Demonoid quite a bit lately, and I'm not sure how big the risk REALLY is.

I downloaded a episode of Entourage once from a random torrent site(usually use newsgroups), and got a email from my ISP saying they got a cease and desist letter from HBO. Just told me to stop. Just use newsgroups 100% of the time now.

x2. Try and stick with sites that have a large user-base. They seem to have very little trouble. I have only gotten two email notices from my ISP, and those were due to downloading Microsoft games. Other than that, no problem! (Knock on wood)

public sites are very risky

i was sent a notice 2 years ago for "illegally" downloading the movie "Analyze This". i was one of hundreds of "john does" in the suit. it turned out to be a bogus scam though

crap thig is i was trying to download a **** and it was just misnamed

I get movies from TPB from people who have the green pirate by their name. Turn on PG2 and I'm good to go.

that was years ago i use private under the radar sites and i really only download tv shows now cause i hate my DVR

one site even uses a dummy home page to make itself off as being something else

I was so bummed when oink got shut down.
