deets?
if your not refrigerant familiar or know a buddy that is.. i highly suggest you find one. otherwise running a a/c system overcharged/undercharged can be bad in the long runWell I let a bunch out. Let it out for 7 seconds or so....engine doesnt bogg down when driving or sitting in park and ac is cold. Apparently from what I can see compressor is belt driven so when you stop and the engine cuts off so does the cold air. Even though today it was blowing warm when driving. So I figure it is just such a small car it may have ne3ded 1 can but the small amount from the second can was just too much for this little thing. Ac ran cold which is great sijce im driving to delaware monday morning. I appreciate everyones help and information. It is honestly what gave me the idea to just let q good amount more out. So as of now you are all certified honda civic crap hybrid AC specialist
Anytime you purchase freon its recommended not to buy the ones with stop leak. Those diy a/c cans are a joke....and waste of money.
9 times outta 10 a leak will develope and only a mechanic can fix/find that leak. Unless your a good mecahnic then there ya go.
Tried on the old lady's vehicle...nothing. tried a diff can on my Tahoe, again nothing.
what i personally do, is add a refrigerant dye package, its reactive to uv light.. that lets me pinpoint the leak, and further fix itThose diy a/c cans are a joke....and waste of money.

It just clogs the ac system and does more damage. The second you use it you have to cycle it then vacuum out the lines and put non stop leak freon.
The little gauges they sell with the cans are good, but you are better off with a full gauge set so in the future the high side can be read to check for freon leaks into the high side.

wtf does that even mean??in residential, you vacuum empty systems to remove moisture to an approved 300 microns(after 5 min hold) then add proper charge? The second you use it you have to cycle it then vacuum out the lines and put non stop leak freon.
Im not talking about homes ac systems. Im talking about vehicles.wtf does that even mean??in residential, you vacuum empty systems to remove moisture to an approved 300 microns(after 5 min hold) then add proper charge?
Google the civic. So many ac issues they are trying to get a class action suit going. I like honda actually. ..along with my two accords that the trannys went out onif your not refrigerant familiar or know a buddy that is.. i highly suggest you find one. otherwise running a a/c system overcharged/undercharged can be bad in the long run
and btw, im known by friends as "Honda Joe". dont diss the brand because of a simple fix
Im fully aware. Its not my car and im in a hotel at the moment on vacation. She has a bumper to bumper warranty but peft the paper work at home. She can get it taken care of when we get homewhat i personally do, is add a refrigerant dye package, its reactive to uv light.. that lets me pinpoint the leak, and further fix it
OP: you obs have a leak if you had to add in the first place
how many times do i have to tell you to stop talking?Im not talking about homes ac systems. Im talking about vehicles.
Vehicle ac systems are much more simpler and the freon sold in auto stores do more harm..
Dont mix them up now
