Anyone a Drummer?

im bored. heres some shit for kicks...

its very rare that i play anything more than 3 or 4 pcs. live, unless its a big show. most of the time its just a kick and a snare from random kits laying around the house when i pack up.

Hey Brock your pretty good man. You have some really nice hi-hat stuff goin on. Plus it looks like you just have so much fun up there.
thanks man...i always have fun doing something i love wether theres 10,000 people or none in the room.

i dont think those videos do anyone in the band much justice, but we will just have to wait for the Spontu DVD to come out for that.

I started playing drums when I was 4...but up until I was 18 all I played was punk or some style of rock...which isnt really challenging in any aspect. triplets and double bass is pretty simple imo. lately ive gotten into jazz and latin drumming. i also try to incorporate my knowledge of drum n bass into the human drum kit rather than a computer...makes for a unique sound i think. I also play out with a very minimal kit which forces me to be creative (we play all improv music). ive got a long way to go though...still learning new things everyday.

Definitely.

I see you use Evans, at least on you kick...you like them? I use them as well currently.

evans on the front of the kick, remo pinstripe where it takes the beating. other than that i use aquarian hi-energy and remo emperor x snare heads. the aquarian lets the snarew ring and the remo kind of leaves it flat. other than that I just use whatever live...and remo pinstripes for the studio.

Pearls are nice, but to me it sounds like you are going to have to buy their upper line kits to get a very good sound. And all of those are outragious. If you go on Pearl's site, and go to there custom drumkits price list, bass drums alone are upwards of $2,000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif , toms $800 and up a piece, thats rediculous.
