I play, I used to play A LOT. Now I play every once in a while. I was lead snare and section leader in drumline for 3 years, and also lead set player. Now, I play with friends occasionally...and when I get a chance on the weekends.

naah, they arent bad at all. way better than any pearl set i might add.

They were pretty decent heads...

PS: what's your prob with pearl Brock? I have an older Export Select 5-piece and love it, I know pearl at least used to make good equipment...

cheap synthetic-ish wood, cheap hardware, no tone or resonance whatsover for the most part.

yep. i bought my current kit 8 years ago and i went through about every brand at the time. not to mention I play shows at least once a week and more than likely the opening band has a pearl set, which sounds like crap. that being said, not many drummers actually know how to make their set sound good...but still...

Tis true, new heads and time for tuning...and you should be fine.
