I can't say much good about MB Quart amps, ordered a Q1.1500D and a pair of the Q4.80's and both of the 4.80's had problems. One of the 4.80's had terrible static and popping in two channels and the other had a bad backlight on the light-up logo. Also, all the MB Quart amps are made in China, I would prefer Korean amps as they are generally much better quality.

From my research, the Onyx line is a direct swap of boards of the older Discus line. I've heard nothing but good things about the Discus line. So take from that what you will.
