Anybody ever get Maaco paint job?

the only time it comes out nice at maaco is if you prep it and then know the guy who work there and pay him cash too. Just prep it yourself and find a dude on craigslist if you can't paint.

I paid $300 for them to paint match and paint my hood, roof, and quarter panels. Looked pretty good and has lasted 3+ years without any noticeable signs of wear, and the paint match came out well. I did not do any prep work, but I do take good care of my car.

This was for their "presidential" paint service. No clear coat.

I got an earl scheib one done on my taurus about a year and a half ago.

I paid 399 for it. I'll dig up a few pics if I can of what it looked like before I got hit several times and it went to shit.

its basically a $200 paintjob, you cant expect too much from it. We have taken a couple vehicles to have them sprayed after we did the prep work. They turn out ok, by no means showroom finish but if your looking for a value paint job again you cant expect much. We did take off everything we didnt want painted, like mentioned they tape off the glass and thats about it, normally dont even do a good job at that.

This was about a year ago. Currently the side left side is all thrashed cause I backed into a pole. And I have a big 'ol scrape on the bumper where a hobo road his bike in front of me and I plowed into him.

It doesnt look bad to be honest, they gave it an integrated clear coat whatever that means. And I think it got two layers of paint. Its now peeling in several places. Its warrantied for 6 years, but I cant be bothered to get it fixed cause Im afraid they will make it worse.
