im trying to book a cruise ship but i have never been on one. i know nothing about cruises and dont know which one is good for couples. I have about $750 to spend for the cruise ship and i was looking into sailing around the carribeans. any good suggestions? tips? info?

I went on a 7 day cruise that went through the carribean. Its was great. We hit cozumel, costa maya, routan honduras, and one or two more places, I forget what they were called though.

We went with royal carribean. I would go with them, there was a mix of both young and old. Seemed geared toward the adult crowd, not a party boat or anything of the sort. I dont know about how the prices work, but I had to pay a 1000 just for me so I could go along. Going on excursions while in port cost a bit of money from what I remember. Maybe a 3-day cruise would be better since it would likely be cheaper.

how much did it cost you?

yea 7 days might seem too long for me. i was thinking 5 days is prefect. did you have to spend additional money when u got on the cruise ship? im thinkg $750 per person is all i need for a 5 days trip

Not really actually. The only thing I ever payed for while actually on the ship was icecream, I didnt care for the free softserve so I bought the good stuff instead. Pretty sure they charge for alcohol. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was all inclusive. You could eat as much as you wanted. I think room service may have been included as well, but we only did it once. There are gift shops and convenience items for sale but if you pack everthing you need, could get away with spending very little if at all while on board.

You have to tip everyone on the last day. Have your passport ready, makes things easier. Try Princess Cruise, or RCCL. They're the best IMHO. I've been on Carnival, RCCL, Holland America, and NCL. $750 should be enough spending money. I usually go on 1-2 cruises a year.

Ive been on 2 both royal carribian, been to cozumel, key west, st martin, nassua, and some others.

Great time with food included, could buy an unlimited soft drink card. Drinks are kind of expensive but buy alcohol cheap on the islands and mix it with some coke.

I even toured the Graycliff cigar factory in nassua

can't bring alcohol from the island back to your room until the last night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Thats why you just sneak it in water bottles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I remember in honduras the locals were trying to sell us knives, cigars and weed lol. I think cigars were allowed to be brought back. But im sure they would trip shit if I brought the other two. We had to walk through medal dectectors and have all our bags scanned.
