anybody doing wall designs ?

hi guys..

im starting to figure out what im going to use and were im going to put all this stuff

( just bagged the truck ) and was going back and forth a box with 2 - 15" or a wall with 4- 12"

i like the wall idea as it is bagged and trying to keep a lot of this weight in the center of the truck.

right behind drivers seat.

my comps , tank are over the rear mega notch..lol

so ill have space by the tailgate for amps.

want to put batteries under the wall if i can fit them.

right now i dont have measurements as next on the list is to body drop it 3-1/2" that will get the body laying on the ground.

so ill lose 3-1/2" inside.

plus floor is not in yet. so depending exactly were that will go then i can take measurements.

but right now just asking does anybody do wall designs ?

Honestly its basically the same as building a box except you must seal off the face very good and your acoustics change with the cabin volume, rigidity and losses.. if you want its to do nicely for comps Id advise you find the vehicles' resonance and measuring the distance between the front wave to the meter and making sure the rear-wave is 4x that distance to that same spot and it should meter nicely. of course you have to tune it accordingly.

I'd say the best thing to do is just start framing it out, build a skeleton secure to the top sides and bottom, then measure and see how much volume you have and plan accordingly from there fitting on face and back whichever makes most sense, keeping in mind make sure things are flexible enough to change up later if you need to tweak tuning or whatever.
