Any UPS package Handlers?

What kind of pay/and benefits is it for a UPS package handler? And is it a good enough job that its worth driving 30 mins to and from? Part time.
i used to work there as a summer job. the work is really physical your going to be exhausted and sore for the first few weeks. the used to get paid 8.50 an hour and after probations wich is like 4 much i think you get 9 bucks an hour. you get all the benefits after probation. the thing is that you have to pay a 200 dollar union fee in the beginning and after that its 25 bucks the first week of every month.

listen my boy was just doin this job.

quit after like 2.5 months. they bust your *** in there man. they demand you direct 300 boxes and hour, he was doin 400 and was made to work harder. i wouldnt recomend it

Here at the FedEx ground terminal, our loaders have a quota of loading 450 packages an hour. Probably 90% of them can't do it cause they are lazy. It can be done. It doesn't take a super human, it just takes a good pace, coordination, and speed. Working at a facility like this is quite possibly the most physically demanding job you will ever have in your life. Do it.

People who can't handle it are *******. I've heard every excuse. OOO, its too hard, I'm tired so I'm work like a dead sloth. People just don't know the meaning of hard work.

i work there right now, and i dread going to work everyday, ive been there for like 8 months now and im currently looking for another job, its hard work at times especially in peak season. They pay for your college if your a supervisor not just a regular laborer. The benefits are excellent some of the best you can find. I personally wouldnt drive 30 mins for that work everyday. And being in a facility thats ran horribly due to management doesnt help my decision of UPS being a good job. When they see you bust your *** and you know most of the trailers they try to send you everywhere to work.

But if you do decide to work there make sure to get in good with all the supervisors they tend to look out for you most of the time, even though UPS works off a senority base
