Any reason not to buy an Eclipse CD7000 besides the ugly knob?

its a sweet deck.. to bad it only has a 3 way crossover.
This begs the question: Which stand alone head units offer more than a three-way x-over, besides the Clarion DRZ-9255, which likely has a delaer cost greater than the MSRP of the CD7000?

I get the point of cost, but you asked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

One simple request/issue with the deck and I get the third degree. Last time I checked it was ok to have an opinion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It's the internet, opinions don't go easy without alot of flaming

I actually asked because the 9255 was the only unit that I knew of. Not trying to give the third degree. I beleive all of the above mentioned units with 4-way crossovers are considerably more expensive than CD7000?

forgive me for being not that knowledgable on the subject but if one was to run a 4-way setup with the cd 7000, then they would adjust the lowpass for the subwoofer on the "low" input setting, then adjust the highpass on the "high" input setting and then have a passive crossover discern the frequencies between the tweeter and the mid, and then have the "mid" input setting send all the frequencies in between those to the dedicated midbass woofer.

Ex: SubHPF 400 Hz----Mid

Normally I would say the 7000 isn't worth the price but since you're getting it really cheap I would say go for it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am glad the 7000 does not have the auto-close face, I pinched my finger one to many times on my CD8053 because of that ish.

The CD7000 is gonna be the next deck I purchase....I havent paid this kind of money for a deck ever, but based on the greatness of my CD8053 I dont think I can go wrong.
