Any reason I shouldn't buy this 42" LCD?

Just went ahead with it and im pretty happy with it.. plus it was free so i can't complain

I really couldn't tell a huge difference between this one and the 32" Samsung except for the prices and size. I guess if I was all into the high definition scene I'd notice more of a difference but I'd rather just have a large tv in the end

My Polaroid went out twice. The repair guy said it was some cheap control box Polaroid puts in em. Also said it would go out again. And it did. Polaroid = pos imo It sucks because I loved the picture the thing had, mine was a 1080i 32"

Like I said ours have been running flawlessly for awhile now. How long did yours last?

I bought a 42' 1080p Olevia Lcd from Walmart a few months back for $850 and love it. If the reviews are good, I'd go for it man. Just make sure it has the options you want like HDMI inputs, etc. Also, look for a high contrast ratio, etc.

Hooked up at Costco, it made the Sharp Aquos look like a mediocre TV. I played around with contrast, brightness, etc.. settings on both of them and I could get a better picture from the Philps than the Sharp Aquos of the same size, both hooked up to a DVD player playing the same thing.

i have had my 37" olevia for 2 years without a single problem. i use it as my main computer screen so it gets used almost 24/7
