Any one weight lift?

How long before I workout should I take my protein drink?

My workout schedule is only MWF as of now, once a day for about an hour, with heavy and intense workouts, I can barely walk back to the dorms when Im done. I was always told to wait a day after working out hard,so your muscles can "rebuild" themselves or whatever.

So what protein stuff should i get? I mean I'd really like to put on at least 10-15lbs in the next few months, maybe more.

I think Im gonna start a thread about this, so I don't keep hijacking this one

No exercise is catabolic, sleep (rest) is anabolic. If that were true, we'd all just wither away at night. You don't get bigger in the gym.
what the **** are you talking about?

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/md21.htm

For years I've felt that we were missing the boat when it came to maximizing muscle mass because we ignored overcoming the nightly decrease in muscle growth caused by post-absorptive muscle catabolism. Well no more. We have the technology to provide full spectrum night time nutrition that will fill this crucial gap.

i know a thing or two about how the body works. second, your thing about whey protein? complete bull.

You are better off eating the package that stuff comes in rather than whats inside of it. Remember, cows that eat hay die faster than cows that eat nothing.
Yea well at the beggining of last year i weighed 185, at the end of the school year i had put on 23 pounds and lost 2%body fat, so if you think it doesnt work then i guess thats up to you

huh?
Esplain some of this for me...

Right now I just eat lunch, class for an hour, and then 30 min later workout, wait bout 30min-hr and then eat dinner.

So should I eat muscle milk right before i workout? Or around 30min before? and then take the same amount after? what you mean optimum nutrition?
6 meals a day, take ur weight and multiply it by 12. divide by 6 and there ya go (calories per meal).

You dont necesariily have to take them right before you work out...

As long as you take them and continue working out you will get bigger. I usuallly take them about an hour before i work out, they can be kind of thick and you can feel it fgor a while after you take them. And i occasionaly have one for breakfast s well..

Ooohh boy (sigh) you have so much learn my friend. I suggest the following test for you miracle whey garbage: Take a glass of water and dump the protein powder and shake it up. Let it sit for about 20-30 min and then come back and check it. If the whey protein has seperated out of the water, you have a whole food product, If the stuff is harder than cement, you have indigestible protein, dammaged fatty acids, and oxidixed cholesterol - which is what whey protien power IS. I know you think you know what you are talking about, but you really don't, no offense.

It's like my grandpa always used to say to me, "Son, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit!"

Everybody is an expert!! Just what I do. I got ripped and so can you too. Might as do it right the first time. You know, the way Mother Nature intended, not the way Designer Protein says you should. Aberham Lincolon once said, "The best way to help the poor is not to become one of them." Think about it.

dude u have no proof to back this shit up. protein powder and water is an emulsion, nothing more. u really need to read and practice what you shouldn't preach before coming out with this mess.

Oh so you did the test? How did it turn out? The proof is in the pudding (LITERALLY)

Read this Einstein http://www.westonaprice.org/men/splendidspecimens.html .

You see "reading" things is great as long as you are "learning" factual information. You have been "reading" advertising and buying into over hyped misleading falicies. If you truely want to learn about bodybuilding you would study how the body actually works, which is what I am trying to teach you and the rest of those reading the post.
