For the close ups thats how i wanted the lighting, very high key...The close-ups are a little washed out. Lighting is too soft and direct I think.
The garage shot is just too dull. Not enough focus. I'm not sure how I would change the lighting, but that's off too.
And for the gym shots, I think you either need more lighting, or you need to play with the shadows more if you want to keep the low-light look.
Just my two cents. My focus may be a bit different, because I have more of a film background. I've done a little photography, but not recently.

The gym shots were light with a flash light, gotta love light painting. the first time i ever did it too haha
