Any info about a Wizard w90.4 amplifier

Yeah I did see that there was a brand of guitar amplifier called Wizard, but the logo was different so I dismissed it. What is interesting about this amp is the existance of a bass knob on it. 2002ish there wasnt many amps that had that feature.
Understood.I think the first KNOBBED amps I bought in the early 2kyrs were the USA made Audiobahn high end amps$799.99,and a $899.00 amps. The A4125 HCT,and the HCT2200 Silver n Gold, both had the meters on them. That were great amps till bought out couple yrs later, and went to pure crap!

I bought one of those in 1990 out of pure curiosity and was amazed at the output from such a crappy looking little driver,..lol..it sounded better loaded with a Punch 10 and got real loud on 300 watts of PPI goodness.
LOL..ya those were great for throw it in the trunk subs, and were 104 db svc subs. They hit pretty hard with those old hifonics amps...made my eyes shake from a 4 dr sedan, laying in the trunk, and believe it or not, they really werent that cheap when they first came out..lol..I got suckered in on the buy of them, but was happy at the time, until I got a hold of some M&M subs:D,and StillWaters

i'm really trying to place it, but i do recognize it. i want to say it was around the same time that oz went from little "sq" drivers, to the big sub (again, name on the tip of my tongue) and either them being related, or joking about the 2 at the shop just bs'n.. as in "wizard of oz" like it was just released, and then dropped right away. anyways, imho, it bears some build design of being sq geared. can't tell from the pics, but it looks like to-220 fets with to-247 outputs. kind of how soundstream and others used to really over-build the output sections for low-strain sq, not more power. a few other things, too. it would be a safe bet that you get 90rms per channel @ 4ohms, and 180@ 2ohms. 4ohm bridge @ 360x2. iirc, there were plenty of amps with remote gain via rj connection pre '02. directed d's, phoenix gold, rockford, in some, and i know there were modules to add the feature to many in the 90's, like kicker, and soundstream even had it wireless (airbass).... i'll have to look into it.

I have not seen one in person, but I am pretty sure these were made by the same build house as the Original Resonant Engineering and Treo amplifiers. Unfortunalty I do not have the big Treo 4 channel Gut shot anymore but it was **** near close with a few cosmedic and board differences.

If you look at the Treo SSX 125.2 you will see a lot of simularities between the 2 amplifiers build (yes I know the Wizard is a 4 channel).

Pretty solid 4 channel quality made for its time for sure.

I got a pretty obscure 2 channel that was made here in Kent WA that I have never even heard of till I saw it at a swapmeet and had to own it.

What amp is that??Im curious:cool:

Well here is a picture of the lettering and numbers on the board it's at the bottom center of pic dunno if its a trademark and the numbers possibly a dob or revision #? again thanks for all the interest and posts but I guess what really matters is if it sounds good here in a few minutes after I hook it up and have a listen either way $45 was all I payed and only bought cause had never seen before and looked to be decent quality

So does this picture with the writing on the board help anyone to identify this amp at all someone has to know something lol I'm sorta of becoming obsessed with finding out who made it and where it was made along with some basic specs
