Long story short i always wanted a Kicker square.

So i got one, dual 4 ohm 10", Bought a beastly 2cuft box ported 32hrtz, got a 500watt JL Audio (Older model) amp.. Hooked it up and i was in love. In till about 4 months in, i heard slapping.. Stupidly after buying i looked at some reviews and found out the spiders discount from the cone. So i knew it happen to me when i started hearing the noise. Sub is no good, No warrentie, No Boom =(

So I'm never buying another kicker sub.. Don't buy them, there drivers ****!

Originally i was looking for some Digital design sub woofers but came short in finding so I went with the L7 (before looking at reviews).

IS THERE ANY GOOD SQUARE SUBS? i know mtx makes one but i don't want a repeat. but i just bought a very nice box and sad to get ride of it.

If your going to say ditch the square.. what do you suggest with my 500watt amp?

I would like to run a 2cuft box ported as well.. Hiphop music will be played mostly.

I have always been more for spl then sq.

Keep in mind if i get a bigger car i might add another sub and switch to a 1000watt.. that's a huge maybe but just throwing that out there..

any help would be great!

digital designs 1500 or 2500 series will give you what you are looking for, be sure to get the supercharged option, it adds a neo slug and shorting ring, which makes the sub louder with less distortion, and its more efficient on low power.

lots of people on here hate on dd because they have never owned one, don't listen to their opinion

500RMS won't get you really loud no matter how much work you put into it, do some reasearch, you can get 1500+ RMS a lot cheaper than you think, probably for the same price you could sell that 500/1 at.
