LOL. not arguing, just wanted to facts.

too much or too little air flow can both hurt the motor, same with exhaust, too hot an exhaust or too much flow will hurt the motor. If you pm me id be happy to explain these commonly known principles to you but im not dealing with it now.

Air flow and exhaust temps have a big impact on how much strain you will put on an engine

yep, on the engine. when adding an aftermarket tuner with canned tunes to a diesel, your pushing more fuel and air creating more cylinder pressure and higher EGTs. larger exhaust helps get the added air and heat out. those canned tunes don't tune the transmission to incorporate the added power. so, more power yet the transmission (auto) stays stock. my guess to why many kill the transmission on the 7.3. in the 6.0 this is a fact.....

What you said is pretty true but it doesnt just pertain to the 2 most popular Fords, Its any engine.

Also too little air will cause the motor to run rich as it is seeing more fuel then air., which will cause poor power. Which running a tad rich is a good thing because it will prolong engine life, too rich is hurtful. The other side of that is lean which will cause a hotter running temp and deplete engine life

( i might have whether too little air or too much air backwards but either way the point is made )

Exhaust - Too much flow will cause a drop in back pressure which lower torque dramatically. Too little is going to choke the hell out of it.

Motor -> ***** -> possibly a transfer case -> drive shaft -> rear end and thats leaving the front end out.

really i dont see how motor mods can effect the rest of the drive line other than adding power without upgrading the rest.

anyways, i know in the 6.0 the 5R110W shift points and pressures are very conservative. more power means more strain on the clutches. most tuners will up the pressure and space out the shift points.

Pretty quick with a true custom dyno tune.

They are actually going to be considering this. The Focus ST would be awesome over here!
