The worst diesel to come alive. Once you go to diesel school, you will switch to cummins. My brother is a diehard FORD fan, went to WyoTech, and now he drives a cummins. I tried tellin him for years, but it took that school to show him whats up.

And Ford AGAIN is switching their diesel... bye bye 6.4, hello 6.7. And they are not Twin Turbo...they are sequential turbo's.

The Duramax is actually a good diesel... but any "V" diesel is NOT a true diesel, only a modified gas engine.
The 7.3 was and still is the baddest.

Go to a Chevy dealership, they try to sell you a transmission.

Go to a Dodge dealership, they try to sell you an engine.

Go to a Ford dealership, they sell you a truck.

Oh yea, and Fords 6.7 is built IN HOUSE for 2011.

Hehehe..... ya... I do like the 7.3. Have one here with 450,000 miles on it, third ******, but still the same engine. We do 20,000 mile oil changes on it as well.

I have heard of a few peeps with ****** issues on the 7.3, but I know a bunch of guys who tow cars (3 and 4 car trailers) and not a single issue at 300K+. Most of them guys run Ford and few Dodge, not so many GM. What most people don't realize is when you throw a tuner on there you need to upgrade to 5 inch exhaust and I perfer an air intake as well. You can cut life of drivetrain without those upgrades with it. I also recommend SCT so it is more of a custom tune than a generic.

what does a 5 inch exhaust and air intake have to do with the drive line failing. like them all. they also have their individual problems; weather it be cummins, powerstroke, or duramax. many problems have surfaced since the EPA is trying to regulate the emission on them. i have an 05 F350 6.0. granite these motors have their share of issues, but not all do. IMO the only tuner for the 6.0 is the SCT with custom tunes. the SCT will also tune the transmission. custom tunes are tailored to your truck. tuners will tune the ****** based on their tune.

It doesnt matter which "school" is better faggots. Going to tech school to be a grease monkey means you have really made it nowhere in life.
lulz, you must ride a bicycle or walk cuz without grease monkeys you wouldnt have a car.

I wish I had gotten the d max instead of my 6.0. I drive a 2500HD and with the crap I added and the way I drive I get 10 MPG even with a custom tune. This beast is heavy and adding crap like a ranch hand bumper and tool box and big a$$ tires kills it. I shoulda spent the extra couple grand and gotten the d max with the allison. The cummins is awesome too but the ****** sucks and the truck isnt that great.
6.0 is a great motor in stock form, it has a few small problems but the problem with the 6.0 is that when you start doing power adders, you start making those weak points more obvious which is where the bad reputation comes from. But i love the 7.3's.

I love Dodges also, im just not a Chevy fan.
