There are A LOT of subs that can outperform the L7 and the Type R in SQ. They are SPL subs! Pretty much any half way decent SQ sub is going to be better in the SQ department than the two SPL subs that you listed. That's kind of like asking which truck can haul more wood than my Honda Civic? The answer is pretty much any of them!
