Any and all info about Recones

Hey everyone, i have a few questions about recones and shops that do it. I have an e12A flatcone coming to me in the mail shortly. One of the spokes from the basket is cracked, but it may work. I am hoping to be able to use some epoxy and fix it, but if not, here are my questions.

What recone shops are available to fix it? It has the TC9 motor.

What places are cheapest? Any price specifics anyone knows about?

Which place is closest to Illinois? this might be a factor in shipping a 30lb sub.

What kind of time am i looking at?

Any advice with any of these is a great help.

Thanks!

That's an ed sub isnt? They're in Iowa, not gonna get much closer...call them. You need more than a recone if you have a busted basket though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

I'm not sure eD will re-cone the Nomex drivers...at least, not with the same soft parts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If the basket is cracked, the only thing you really can save is the motor itself...

I don't know if ED still can get the soft parts for the flatcone A. Not sure if anyone else will have them.

Try using JB weld, your best bet.Or see if you know anyone who can weld.

You'll have to replace the soft parts when you replace the basket.

Yeah, i know i will be left with only the motor, but i have heard that RE can do it, i was just wondering who would be best, RE, soundsplitter, etc. Thanks!
