The import bashing goin on is pretty childish. I personally hate domestics but i feel no reason to bash them. If a person wants to mod a geo prizm to all hell let him its his decision not yours.

im NOT a big fan of n2o, just b/c people think its liquid hp or something...i did kinda overstate this, but it was to make a point. its a very cheap way to add speed, and it does run out. there are some reasons i think it should be used in some situations tho...like spooling a turbo, or to cool an intake manifold that has a lot of boost going thru it (for example, i saw a 50 shot produce well over 75 hp increase in a vette, just b/c the manifold got so hot from the engine and extra air that went into it).

I had a mustang GT 4.6 got smoked by a maxima now I drive a honda again and save fifty bucks a month in gas as far as the ricer goes how about a supra that has 1200 horsepower with custom made turbos sure it cost about 200g but it has 1200 hp

maxima's kick ***. hopefully, ill be able to get an infiniti i30 touring 5 speed (luxury equivalent of maximas) here kinda soon, and have 'fun' making it handle like a dream, and pick up a 'little' power:rolleyes: (350+ hp kind of 'little').

oh it dont take 200gs to make a 1200hp Supra hell many do 1000hp on stock blocks

and N2o only thing i have against it is the fact it's something you have to refill so its not a constant power like a Turbo or S/C , i wouldnt call it cheating but i would only use it for off the line if i was running a huge turbo that didnt spool till like 4krpm

 
Okay, It's tough for a 2 valve V-8 to match the specific output of a high revving 4 cylinder, but small 4 bangers aren't the way to get big power. Look at John Lingenfelter's Corvettes. These use the "old tech" LS1 and LS6 engines (superb pieces of engineering by GM). I don't know if ayone else caught the test that Motor Trend (or was it Car and Driver?) did on an 830 hp Lingenfelter Vette. How does 0-60 in 1.97 seconds sound? That's without nitrous or special fuel. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Also, how about Porsche? I don't think many people would consider them ricer cars. Lots of tuners make 800+ hp Porsches. The Gemballa GTR750 Evo runs 0-100 in 6.5 seconds on street tires an tops out at 225 mph. Pretty impressive for a fully loaded street car. I bet it hauls A$$ on the track, too. Just something to think about.

you spend 3000 on cold air adn exhaust adn Stupid Body gay-KIT or Spend 3000 dollars on Turbo Charger,Intercooler,fullexhaust,and full intake ..................HUMMMMM what do thej regular stupid people choose body gay-KIT... I myself woudl ratehr have stock outside and 3000 under the hood, pull up to one of you little fools with a body kit and eat you alive and spit you out like a peice of burnt cake. adn then laugh at you cus others saw a nice lokin civic get its *** kicked bne a stock civic ....... need i say more??

 
Sleepers..I like them from time to time..especially for people that think they have something and really don't>>I just assume pull up beside them with a 5.0 mustang roaring..Cam lopping like hell..Car is rattling from the cam..Have the headers uncapped and Stomp that gas once or twice..Then you can laugh while the rice burners skid tires away in pure FEAR!!!! V-8 POWER ANYDAY!!!!! By the way..Those stickers those tirds put on there cars..Yea I think they believe they add about 10-15hp escially the NOS sticker thats an automatic 50hp gain just by adding that to their cars..lol!!

When we are talking about serious car performance i'd rather talk in 1/4 mile and/or the metric equivelant to a 1/4 mile ( i don't remember what it is). Because you can make a car with exceptionally low gear ratios that will bust *** to 60... but then have a 20 sec 1/4 mi. time...

Personally, I am all for the new Ford V-8's. SOHC, and DOHC in mustangs. I will never buy an pushrod engine... i prefer high-*** revvs... i love the way that engines sing from the driver's seat when at wayy too high revvs. I just don't like everyone bashin imports... pisses me off beyond belief, because i have nothing against V-8 engines.. i'm just trying to prove to you guys that Honda's, i understand that some are so rediculous that they have to be made fun of (like this champagne Kia Sephia w/ a Black Shogun wing on it, and "chrome" hubcaps... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). But not most hondas, i don't care if they are all show and no go, they still SHOW. key word there.

i think i am about done w/. posts that have Honda bashing on them... because i know that there is so much info that can prove you wrong, and so much more that can prove that a honda will smoke most ANYTHING. Never said it would be a civic..

(Y2K turbocharger on an NSX... can you say wayyyyyyyyyyy over 1000 HP??? i can.)
