Antenna Adaptor Static

I replaced my HU and needed put an antenna adaptor on...so...after the guy installed it (at best buy)..it noticed some stations have a lot of static. He put a Volkswagen adaptor on (HU was alpine..car is Toyota Camry 2001).

Do I need a better antenna adaptor OR do i need to reposition the adaptor??
