my alt makes more volts with more RPM.

my A/C (fans) drop it down to 11v, even lower with the lights on.

It steals volts not amps !

Hopefully a new 245a alt will be replacing it, but its stock 104a for now

the reason you get a reading of 11v is because your alt can't keep up with current draw from the a/c fan, lights, and etc. in this case, you are actually draining battery. a new alt will definitely help.

have a mechanic raise your idle rpm a little higher too, so when your stopped somewhere, the alt can try to be keeping a constant rate of power to the battery.

if it is doing that even without your stereo on, then your alt is toast, even my Monte with a 63 amp wont drop down below 12 volts, but you are getting a new one anyways, so what I just said was pointless

it steals both. you just don't have an amp meter to SEE it steal you amps.
