Another VS Tread: I know

6 RE SR15s sealed in 12cuft or 2cubes per, or 3 RE SE15s in 9cuft or 3 per sub. Which would get the loudest on 1800 watts? The SRs take 300rms, and the SEs call for 600, so I'd be giving either setup recommended power. This would be in a trunk subs up. I'm narrowing down my choices. I did a search, but didn't come up with anything concrete. Please help

If it was me 6 15's would have way more surface area for sure = Louder than 3 15's

I'd do the 3 15" se's. Not because of cone area but because of power handleing.

Runnin sealed, would require more power to get the excursion of ported. Thus would require more power to get louder than 3 ported, right?

Makin a general statement, but i do agree with you about 6 15's, not a good trunk type install.

1. You are not going to get more cone movement off the same power imo.If so it won't be twice as much...

What would you suggest for the loudest possible daily setup on 1900@1ohm? I have about 12cuft total to work with.
