Another vs ? -- 18 Solo X vs 20615L7's

Hey guys,

I finally got my shit installed in the blazer and currently I have 20615L7's with a Orion2500D but since my subs are D2 I have them @ 2 ohms so they are only seeing about 1,700 rms.

I was wondering if I replace the L7's for a D2 18"Solo X feeding it 2,500 rms.

Would the X be louder with 2,500 rms ?

he wants to move to 1 sub at 1 ohm, but more power obviously

2 L7's getting about 850 rms each, compared to 1 solo x getting 2500 rms

uhmmm...i have no idea.

i like the ides of a 18" solo x though

Forgot to mention my box is 9cuft tuned @ 35hz.

I'm planning to just change the top baffle from 2 15's cut out to 1 18 SX cut out.

2 15"s have more cone area than a single 18" FYI

Stay with the L7's...SoloX's don't sound all that great daily. And with your power the L7's will probably be louder. If you had more power I would say SoloX.

save your money and get 2 kicker 2500's and 2 solo x tens...
