I'm watching the news right now, and of course they are already talking about "gun control." How about sociopath control? Let's work on that. If there was a possibility that they could make a drug which would cause such people to swiftly kill themselves with the nearest dangerous object as soon as they begin to plan to kill a bunch of innocent people, I would get behind that. I mean, they're bent on racing to hell as soon as possible anyway. Let them do society a solid and murder just themselves.

I have a little boy in elementary school, and I cannot imagine what these parents are going through.

My significant other works in schools. My little boy goes to elementary school.

I just can not imgine being one of the parents waiting outside that didn't have their child come out. I just... can't.

Every single day I grow more and more cynical. My faith in the human race as a whole wanes. People are broken and I don't know how to fix them. The system is broken and I don't know how to fix it.

Every single day we have to rely on others... basically not to hurt us or our families. Whether that be not being a complete moron behind the wheel, not picking up an assault weapon and opening fire or... not getting so angry at someone for playing loud music that you will resort to shooting the guy on the volume knob.

And having to rely on these people fucking scares the shit out of me.

I won't touch on gun control or anything. People just need to learn that the world is never going to be a safe place. It is hard to balance freedom and safety, but if you start giving away freedoms to feel more safe it becomes a slippery slope.

There's way too much of it. Just yesterday, a mall in Oregon was shot up. 3 dead. It's absolutely pointless murder..and it bothers me. Another example is two young girls here in Iowa, they went missing a few months back. Two hunters found their bodies dumped in some woods..it's sad to see where this world's at.

I was about 15 min. away from that mall getting ready to go shopping and swat stopped the roads and held us there until they figured the scene out. Then I hear about this, it's disgusting. The fact that few were injured and only killed showed how he had to aim directly at each kid and shoot. It's seriously one of the most effed up things. This year has been terrible for violence.

The last report I heard it was the 20 year old brother of the first mentioned 24year old. The father is fine and was just unavailible when they were trying to contract him. Just sloppy no fact checking journalism. The mother was killed as was the principal and psychologist. Killer's mother was a kindergarden teacher. How hard is it to hit paniced 5year olds at point blank range? First reports were that that he was using two 9mm pistols. Now they are saying he had a Glock 10mm (don't let the name fool ya. It has samilar balistics to a .41 Magnum) and a AR15. They also say that he had other guns. They appear to all have been his mother's. The death toll got raise, 2 kids that were rushed to the hospital died so 20 kids and 8 adults.
