Another "should I buy this car?" Thread

I like the cars and have built a few, the issue for me was the motor is the weak link. If you plan to build it and make it fast, then plan on more work ahead of you.
I dont want it to be crazy. It will be a second car that will be driven probably 2 times a week. I would like it to be pretty quick though, I drove a boosted d16z6 civic hatch with a Garrett T25, and if this car was that fast, I would be perfectly fine with that. Not sure what kinda power it would take, probably around 325whp or so.

I dont like it, but I'm extremely picky when it comes to cars.

If you're looking for a reliable car, look elsewhere. If you enjoy working on cars and plan on putting time and money into it as a project, it would be worth it

I want something faster than I can get from a stock car in my price range. IDC what the car is, it wont be fast enough if it is stock. This is why I am looking at modified cars, which most of the time wont be as reliable. I wouldnt mind a DSM, but I cant find any around here within what I wanna pay.

lol what do you consider fast? Some people think a 14.5 second car is fast lol

Big difference between a quick sports car (think 240z) and an actual fast car, like an old chevy, 11 second car.

I want just a quick street car. Something around like mid-high 13s or low 14s is what I consider a quick street car.

I tried, lol he is firm on the price. He wants 1000 for the car and 250 to deliver it. I dont have a trailer and truck, or else I would go get it myself.
I think you can rent a uhaul trailer and f150 for like $40-50 a day with unlimited mileage. You mentioned it was 200 miles away, so round trip of 400 miles at around 10mpg, an extra $100 in gas. Saves you $100... but personally I think my time is worth more than the cost savings. But if you're going to drive over there anyways to pay for the car and everything, then just rent the truck.

The guy would be bringing it up here and I would pay him here. I also think my time is worth more than driving 8 hours to save 100 bucks...

Hire an escort and have her.... "treat you nicely" for 8 hours. That might be worth it. But then there won't be any cost savings...
