Another One of those BB packages

Well I was looking through the paper today, I seen this Power Acoustik Package from Best Buy for 300 bones. It consists of a LT980/2 which puts out 280 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms, 2 12" FUBR subs that are 800 watts RMS, and a box. Does this sound good? Should I try and haggle around and just get the box and subs? The amp seems very underpowered to push these subs.

Talk to monte_carlo and see how much he can get you those subs for, and I'm sure you can find the amp quite cheap online.

Overall, it's decent for what best buy sells, but I would go a different route if I was in your situation.

for under 300 bucks i got an alpine type R 1242D, a cadence z1000 (400wrms) and knukoncepts wiring

I figured everybody would say that BB was the devil. I think im going to hit up a 600 mono amp and push a 15" RE SE....or was it the SX? Well the one thats 600 watts lol.

I would go with the SE. SX's seem to like 1000w+.

hmm, iono man, 2 Fubr's and an amp and box.

But then again you can prolly make that system louder without a pre-fab box and build your own and get the stuff cheaper from Dave (monte_carlo97) and he gives you a 1 year dealer warranty. Which means if you blow it within the year, you get a brand new replacement for free +shipping bothways. Contact him about. Though the best way to contact him is through PM's now and not Windows Messenger due to the fine weather and school.
