By inverting the subs you are still giving them their required airspace but don't need to build the container for this airspace to include the physical form of the sub. So like in this car you can get the volume needed but don't have to worry about attempting to squeeze the basket and motor of the sub into the space with the port. Its mostly a construction and cosmetic deal.Space, and mechanical noise.

No. It just takes up more space, but also allows for the box to be smaller. It's also a lot uglier in terms of running wires and the like. It can look nice, but it's hard to make it look nice.I'm curious, does inverting the subs have any advantages or disadvantages to mounting them regularly?
