Another Distribution Block question...

I am running 2 gauge wire to a distribution block and then two 4 gauge wires to two amps. The length is about 12 ft. Would I be correct to run the 2 guage wire the entire distance with very short 4 gauge wire or do I want the two 4 gauge wires taking up most of the distance?

i would run 1/0 guage wire to the distro block with 2 4 guage outputs

you mean 2 4 gauge wires going from the battery to each amp? that would work but it would be easier with 1 1/0 guage and a distro block. what amps are you running?

No I meant one 1/0 wire to the distribution block and two 4 gauges out. Do I want almost all of the length being the 1/0 wire? In other words, do I want the distribution block really reall close to the amp?

the shorter the 4 guage the better. get as close as you can.
