Another box question...concerning port area

Okay for the last box made for my Mag....i was told i didn't have enough port area...with one 4" pipe. We used bass box pro to make this and when you say to use 2 pipes it makes the length way longer.......is there any way to get more port area out of this box without having to design a whole new one? It sounds pretty good but for the hype of the mag d2 i still don't believe i've heard it at it's full potential yet..

u need around 30 sq inches of port for that sub most likely, your single 4 inch pipe is 12.56 sq inches. the port will always be longer if u add more. talk to me on aim and id be glad to talk about what u need and help u design something.

Okay..well first i have a question..Will getting the proper amount of port area increase the sub performance? Or will it just help to eliminate port noise..because if it just eliminates port noise..i have none..or at least none is audible to my ear....

If it will enhance the performance of it i will be more than happy to talk to you about it.

I will download aim later and chat with you if you would like. I'm unsure if i have a name on there now but i will make one

why not just use a slot port, and ya its gonna make a pretty big difference

i probably wouldn't have enough room with a slot port......the external diminsions on the box that is in there now is as big as it's gonna go..and if you added a slot port to that...i would probably be looking at less than 2cf net....which isn't what i wanna do....but i guess it could be considereed
