the screws you are using are too big. they are splitting the MDF. With some grade A wood glue and smaller screws you will get a solid box without splitting the MDF. It will look better as well since the side wont be pushing out at all.
Other than that: Looking good!

Screws are fine, she didn't predrill. Box looks good.

thank you i did predill just got to close to the edge and the screws are 1 1/5 long i dont think there too big..

Eclipse SW9122 + 24 square inches of port area = OK

But a port ratio of near 1/8 will cause some port turbulence. It's a skinny port. Prepare for a little port noise...

1. I dont understand why anyone would buy from you, especially when you posted pics of your enclosures before.

Just so anyone reading this is clear. Even if you pre-drill and sink your holes for the screws the wood can still split if the screws are too big. Hell I have seen the wood split because the screws were put in too fast.

anywho...if hers were fine, the they were fine. she still split the wood and some of the corners are broken off. I wouldn't give anyone my money to build a box with that quality.

Aight, I would have kept that too myself. I'm serious about the wax. A little bit on a screw will make it easier to screw into the wood with less chance of splitting. The wax acts as a lubricant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i replaced the split wood and cut a new piece other than that split THAT GOT replaced i dont see whats wrong with the enclosure?
