I would suggest predrilling, so you dont split the wood like that... And how wide is that port?

1.75 inches wide.. yah i pre dilled most of them then the wood split on that one side..

Looks good so far. The reason that one side cracked is probably because you were too close to the edge.

on the port side closeest to us in the 2nd picture, the port looks the same width as the port that exits the front. am I right? or are my eyes deceiving me?
