Another big 3 question...

Heyyyy well a few months ago I noticed my lights dimming, but kind of in a weird way. Everytime I would hit my window switch to either roll the window down or roll it up, my lights would dim. Also my voltage would drop from 14 to 12. Lights also dim when bass hits. So I thought it might be time to do the big 3. I upgraded to an optima battery, and did the big 3 all in 0 gauge. But it didnt seem to help anything at all, is this normal? Any help would be appreciated...

you should have your battery and alternator tested for functionality. Sounds like one of these may not be up to par. Also make sure that they are not underrated for the amount of stuff you are running.

What type of power are you running? I have a similar situation, but I am running 1300w. The big three doesn't take away all dimming. It does however help to let more current flow freely through the wire. If you are running more than about 750w, I would suggest upgrading the alt.

I'm running way more than 750. I'm running probably close to 3000w. I had one alt go bad about 8 years ago and had it replaced, but it's not one of those high output alts though. So you think I should upgrade the alt then?
