i searched all over already im tired of reading and not finding a straight answer. ok...on my alt to batt wire do i connect the new 1/0 to the factory existing alt wire location threw the fuse box and all and fuse it again by the batt. or run a totally seperate wire from the alt to the batt in addition to the factory wire. like have straight from the alt to batt then fused. and what size fuse i have a 2400 orion i have a 250 on the power to the amp now. should i use the same for the alt...someone please explain it

you can just run your 1/0 straight from your alt positve to the battery positve, you do not need to fuse it if you dont want to. the only reason to fuse it would be if you think your alt is gonna put out to much current, but on a stock alt, that owont happen. so there isno need to fuse it, and you can just run a wire straight from thealt to the battery positve. but leave your original wire on there too,

the only wire in your case that needs to be fused, is the wire running from your amp to your battery. If you don't believe that fat meat is greasy, then do it your way. We are here to help, but it's annoying when people ask a question and then post an answer to a question that they just asked.

because everyone here has there own opinion. some say fuse more then no fuse. just wondering why???...if my car goes up in flames will u pay for it....

DOES THE FACTORY FUSE IT... NO(very few do). BUT FOR a little bit of insurance fuse it. we dont want you wiring it wrong and then burning your car down and blamin one of us.
