so my brothre got these euro headlights for his e36 with the angel eyes and what not. hes clueless about wiring or anything so its up to me to put these in.
the ccfl lights (angel eyes themselves) have power inverters connected to them. well 3 out of 4 of the AE's arent working. wont light up at all. ive tried wiring them directly to my battery and still only 1 of the 4 is in working order. im trying to get some new ones, or maybe just fix these.
first thing i need to know is what is the purpose of the power inverters? are they to run the ccfl's at less than 12v or keep them at 12v when the cars running? could i just bypass them or is that not a good idea?
idk im reading around on the bimmer forums too, but i figured id ask here as well.
