on a side note. cyanogen was acting funky for me. so i decided to back it up and try Redemption 2.3 with a incredikernal. still overclocked to 1.13 but looks stock.

I just got a used droid from a friend and am waiting on a new battery and battery cover to get here, looks like you guys can make it do some pretty sweet stuff and change the screens up nicely, how can I do the same once my stuff get here??????????

you gotta gain admin access to the phone. AKA rooting it. look for forums specific to your phone. xda-developers that is also a general forum, that has A TON of info in it.
