Android tab. Digital out. Twk 8

I have been thinking of just putting a tablet in my dash running straight to a JL twk 88 then out to rest of my system. I don't use the raduo at all.. no cd. No dvd. I have a full sized hdmi jack on my tablet. Hdilmi to optical converter. In to the twk 88. Use the 88's knob for volume control.

Any body out there have any concerns about what I want to do?

I'm going to buy the twk 88 anyways. I need a new deck, so this might just save me some money.....
