Welli bought the vm-9410 from a friend (7inch flip out with mp3) for $400 in like new condition...he lost his warranty card but i figured hey i may not need it as long as i baby it and not abuse it..............wrong

soooo the deck begins to not want to play certain cd-r's...then eventually it doesnt wanna play regular burns without mp3's on it....and then it doesnt wanna play REGULAR STORE BOUGHT CD'S !!!!!...now the only thing it'l play is disk on CD-RW or DVD's...OCCASSIONALLY it'll play regular cd's but for the most part...nada....

so i buy a 10 disk changer off ebay used for $40....it doesnt work...i figure that changer is busted and whatever......a few monmths later (yesterday) i buy and finally recieve a brand new 10 disk changer that does mp3's (SO EXCITED TOO) for $180and sure enough.........it doesnt work...its like the deck doesnt even realize its hooked up..........FDMN U(#DNM_(#DM #M D+*#M+D

THEN i call jensen to see how much itd be to get it repaired.....it's liek another $197 for them to fix it when if it was a good brand it SHOULD DO THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE.....

400+ 40 + 180 = $620 and another $197 if i want it to work.........

**** jensen.....i had a bad feeelign when i got this that being a jensen itd mess up and id have to spend a lil extra money but now im just flabergasted.....this ****ing sucks...

Should've done a little research before purchasing. I don't think anyone on here would recommend Jensen for a number of reasons.

I had a customer buy a jensen deck... within one month we replaced that deck 5 times before they grew a brain and asked for somthing different.

Thats why i bought a clarion, i researched plenty before buying anything. I would never buy something with the name jensen on it. Its on your own fault sorry.

I cant comment on Jensen but I have owned Audiovox in the past(one of my first car audio peices) and it broke and was replaced twice

ive always believed that you get what you pay for. if you buy a cheap HU then youve just purchased a cheap HU.

well if you would have done a little research first you could have avoided this all together. with 881 posts I would sure think you know from being on this site that NO-ONE would have told you to buy that crap. I am sorry that you went through all this though.

Also, can't you return the new 10-disc changer? get your money back the changer you bought off ebay most likely works. if it does you should go on ebay and give the guy a good rating (if you gave him a negative already).

Reason for getting it was that it was like new and $400...at the time i was in the marker for a new HU and i though it'd be fun to try and flip out screen, which dont get me wrong the picture quality is as good as any flip out deck ive seen from clarion kenwood alpine and pioneer (alpine was a wee liitle bit better but not by much).

Other normal cicumstances iwouldnt buy a jensen EVER but the price seemed right at the time......just nevered figures id go through this much bullshit with it...

as for the changer the company will take it back minus a %15 restock fee and i have to pay for shipping...all in all im still out around 50 bucks on it........but i figure ill send it in to get repaired....

...tempted to take a 9volt battery and run it across the board and maybe try to arch teh circuit board ina way thats not noticable so that they just replace it instead of repairing it.....rather dishonest but to hell with jensen, if they replace it then ill just sell it brand new and get as much of my money back as i can........$197 flat fee for repairs

Good reason not to buy intricate mobile electronics used without a warranty as well (lots of moving parts on a flip out screen and a lot of heat as well)

i had received a jensen HU for christmas a couple years ago from my parents brand new. had bb install it. it was way better than my stock tape deck in my s-10. we had the replacement plan too so i could get it cleaned for free every 6 months. well exactly 6 months later, the laser was messing up, so bb replaced it with a brand new jvc hu for free. which ultimately got stolen.

either way......bottom line, jensens break easily and tend to ****, even though i forsaw a little bit of this happening i never would have thought it'd be this much of a hassle........learn from my mistake guys....
