The opening to my trunk is roughly 2" by 6" =|

It's teeny-tiny. ('98 Mustang Coupe)

Can I cut the pieces then put them inside and glue them inside the trunk? >_> Or is this a really bad idea?

you can do that

its an in car build, very common for big big systems, or bigish systems fitting through small spaces

but its much more difficult

and messy

Yeah I have came to the point of that being my last option to get something big in a trunk a few times, but it just seemed a little more difficult nor did I want to get into doing it.

I did it in my last build.....Now I have to rip it out, and I'm really dreading that.

I say go for it. It wasn't that difficult.

What are you trying to put in the car every thought about building 2 seperate boxes if going with 2 subs?

or you could put some medium in between and just fiberglass a box in their.....would be cleaner looking

It's for 1 sub. And it has an attached amp rack. So, what I'm thinking about doing is making the amp rack, then the sub box, and putting each in then glueing them together.
