An Amp Query

hey...everyone ..im new to the whole car audio scene...so please dont mind my silly queries..

What would happen If i used a 4 channel amp(not a mono) to drive my sub woofer 12 ''ALPINE Type R ?? Will the sub get screwed??

you would have to gain match both sides (bridged) or use 1 side.

it's not the best way to do it. what is the amp?

definitaly not the right way to do it but meh! if that is all you got then it will work! lol! but make sure to bridge it to get the most power
