Amps

im really new to this i dont know what spl sql or sq mean i juest want to know how much amp power i need for2 of these subs i really want it to kick hard and sound good also i drive a kia sportage the i have 2 6.5 inch sony xplodes in the back and 2 5 1/4 inch sony xplods in the frount and i have a panasonic 200 watt head set.i was wondering if that was good i dont want nothing super crazy but i would really like it to kick and sound nice

No problem, I can explain it for you.

SPL = Sound pressure level (loud)

SQ = Sound Quality (accurate, clear)

SQL = SQ with SPL (loud and clear)

Ideally you'd want an amp that puts out 600-800 watts rms at either 4 ohms (easy to find) or 1 ohm (harder to find) with that sub setup.

ok then i want sql would this be a good enfough amp for the two subs also do i need two amps for two subs or will 1 will power both

It depends on the capability of the amp(s) and how you want to set things up. Each sub is a dual 4 ohm voice coil model, which means they each can be wired for either 8 ohms (voice coils in series) or 2 ohms (voice coils in parallel). When wiring the 2 subs together, the options would be for 16 ohms (8 ohms + 8 ohms in series), 4 ohms (8 ohms + 8 ohms in parallel, or 2 ohms + 2 ohms in series), or 1 ohm (2 ohms + 2 ohms in parallel).

You can drive each sub with their own amp (each sub will handle 300w rms), or get one amp that will supply enough power to both subs (about 600w rms). It's often a good idea to get an amp that is capable of more than what your subs need, as you can set the gain appropriately as to not overstress both the amp and the subs.

Walmart sucks for amps.
If your on a budget check out profile amps. Do a search for them. Check out online car audio stores for good prices.
Agreed on both counts.

Get an AP2000 amp, wire each sub's vc's in parallel so the final impedance is 2 ohms per sub, and put 1 sub to each channel. Set the gains properly, and you'll have one fairly decent sounding sub stage on the cheap.

There's also the Hifonics TXi7506 which is rated to do 750W at 1 Ohm, but will be a little lower (perfect for 2 of those Infinity Ref subs).

Or if you want the efficiency of class d, go with the Hifonics BXi606 which is also 1 Ohm stable.
